This board that is powered via USBC enables the SunPower M0012 and M0020 batteries to operate outside of the SunPower cabinets. They become standard 48v LiFePo4 batteries with the added bonus of closed loop communication if the inverter supports Pylontech batteries. There is a config file to setup the batteries from 1pc up to 16pcs in parallel. Bit flip sent automatically to commission batteries so they don’t turn off after 12 hours. Keepalives automatically sent every second to keep batteries awake. Auto detects which CAN network is an inverter vs. a battery. Translates Sunpower battery protocol to Pylontech for compatibility with a wide range of inverters. Tested with: Megarevo R8KLNA EG4 6000XP The Schneider Insight Facility understands the SunPower battery protocol by default however they are banks of four batteries so there could be limitations for larger capacity systems. Included Hardware: Orange Pi 3 LTS pre-loaded for plug and play operation 48vdc > USBC power supply 2pcs USB to CAN modules Cat5 wire for between CAN modules and battery as well as up to inverter Related
